Maddie just received the cutest gift from my friend Heather- it's a little soft mouse. It's so adorable to see her with it during nap time!

Babysitting Maddie
The other day I went to get my haircut at my friend Heather's house. She has two lovely daughters, and one of them was home from school early. Tabitha is in seventh grade, and just loves babies. She did an excellent job babysitting Madison while I was getting my hair cut. When I was done, I found Tabitha rocking Maddie in a doll stroller! It was the cutest thing!

Meister Wedding
Tracie looked just beautiful! Jesse had the privilege of marrying Doug and Tracie on Sunday evening. We have really enjoyed spending time with them over the past few months doing their premarital. They are such a sweet couple!
This was Maddie's fourth wedding! The reception was at TPC (a gorgeous golf course in Santa Clarita).
Justin and Caitie looking good with a baby :)
Angie was a beautiful bridesmaid.
Maddie's first dance with Daddy on the dance floor. They danced to "My Girl"- it was pretty sweet!
Bubbles!
Michelle did a great job of putting Madison right to sleep.
Heavenly Homemaking
Last Thursday Anna Sanders had a group of ladies over and so graciously went through some fantastic homemaking skills and tips with us. We learned how to make roasted chicken, gravy from scratch, creamy mashed potatoes, pan seared salmon, yummy veggies, and her famous "Yum Yum Cake". Everything was delicious! Anna even prepared binders and copies of each of the recipes for us. One of the most important tips was: make sure to pray to the Lord about everything- for it is to Him you give the glory and from Him you receive the strength to do all things. Secondly, prepare. Make sure to plan ahead- it will make every meal go more smoothly. With these two tips, it is much easier to prepare a meal with joy for our families. It was a fun morning with the ladies!
Ojai for the Day
We had such a fun Saturday in Ojai. We first walked around the town during their annual festival. There was everything from churro stands to jewelry for sale to live country music. Then we went for a long drive looking for a lake, but never found it! Instead, we had a beautiful view from the top of some mountains and saw waterfalls on the way up. On the way down we stopped at a campground to change Maddie and feed her. I didn't take any pictures that day, except for at the campground- Daddy was just so cute changing her. From there went went to Boccali's for dinner- great homemade pizza and strawberry shortcake. It was a delightful family outing!

Question?
I have a question for you fellow mothers...where do you get your baby toys? How do you know what they will like? I'm looking for activities/toys Maddie will like between 3 months- 1 year. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Pumpkin Patch
Grandma and Grandpa's Visit
Sleepy Head
At almost 3 months, Madison is sleeping about 10 to 11 1/2 hours a night! That sure makes life nice. It was the funniest thing, yesterday I put her on the rug in the living room as I unloaded the dishwasher. When I finished, I came back over and there she was- on her side sucking her thumb and fast asleep! She's a cutie!

Daddy's Little Girl
It's Fall!
Madison went on two walks this Saturday to celebrate the beginning of Fall. Jesse and I walked her to Starbucks in the morning for a delicious Pumpkin Spice Latte. Then that afternoon Papa and Mimi came over to take her for another walk while I made dinner for everyone. I snuck out and surprised them- they had no idea I was taking their picture! Thanks to Gale Light, Maddie has a matching homemade blanket and hat for the cooler weather!
CSUN Girl's Night
We had so many girls want to come to our first hang out of the year, that we had to move the party to my parents' house. We had such a fun time talking, doing wacky mani's and pedi's, massages, and eating!
Mimi had some quality time with the Madsters. Thanks Mom for helping me out!
Sara and Maddie are becoming quite good friends- we get to see her every Tuesday morning!
Here are the babysitters :) The only boy at the party (Tobin- 1 month) was flirting with Maddie on the couch!
