MA, Pt. 3

Another day on our trip...
Here's Becca and Aunt Dottie at Parker's Pancakes...a cute little place to get real maple syrup and breakfast.
 Tickle, tickle!
 Aunt Jennifer and Savannah
Mads and AD playing a puzzle.
Becca and Maddie playing trains...Madison's new favorite toy.
We also went to a farm one morning.
 Watching the sheep and goats.

 Choo, choo!
There was a great sand area to play in, too!

Thanks Aunt Jennifer for having us stay with you and coming up with such fun plans while we were there. We love you and miss you!

MA, Pt. 2

Here's more of our trip...
Here's my aunt Jennifer, her daughter Rebecca, and their friend Connie.
We have a favorite ice cream place called Carter's. They have the dairy farm right there...it's so fresh and creamy :)
Aunt Dottie enjoyed hers in the car.
One day we helped Aunt Jennifer plant some daffodils in front of her house. The girls loved digging and playing with the water. It's amazing how long kids can occupy themselves with dirt!
Madison and Savannah loved playing in Sammy's cage. I'm not sure how much the dog liked that!
One afternoon we drove out to Gordon College. Sarah (my other cousin) gave us a tour of the campus.
This picture makes me crack up because Maddie is trying to do her hair just like Sarah's!
After dinner at a fish place, we dropped by the beach. My girls RAN to the water. We miss the beach! I couldn't believe the look on their faces when they felt the sand between their toes!
 Sissy loving the water.
Maddie ventured in. Both girls were soaked! What fun memories!

Trip to Massachusetts, Part 1

Here's my sweet Great Aunt Dottie. Most of you know her by now because she's such an important part of my life. Here she is in her kitchen!
She had Jesse, me and the girls over for breakfast one morning.
(I just love the coffee pot on the stove!)
She worked so hard to serve us and make it special. I just love her!
Did I mention, she's about to turn 100!
Here we are having coffee cake and bagels!
More to come from the trip soon.

After breakfast the girls enjoyed looking at all of Aunt Dottie's pictures.
Just look at Savannah's face!
So many fun things to look at...it's like a museum!

Linsky's in D.C.!

We're so happy that Steve and Holly have come to visit!
Here we are in Old Town Alexandria. We had a fun night walking this beautiful town and having ice cream.
Thanks Holly for taking our family photo :)
I forgot to take pictures, but today we had fun doing a walking tour of the National Mall.

Miss Penny

Since moving here to VA, we have been blessed with many new friendships. One of those friendships is with Miss Penny. My girls have taken to her and she to them! Yesterday she brought ingredients to make coffee cake. We put out a plastic table cloth on the floor and let the girls stir it up!
After cooking, crafting, and sharing testimonies, the sisters needed a quick hug. I just love it when I turn around and catch them hugging :)
Thank you Miss Penny for a being a blessing to us!

Weekend in Review...

We had a EGGstravegant egg hunt this weekend. Just look at this backyard! I think there were about 60 dozen eggs hidden for the 30 plus kids. So fun to meet more church friends.
Not into finding eggs so much.
Very into finding eggs :)
Another day we went to a friend's house and held their baby chicks and ducklings.
Maddie and Savannah posing for Easter pictures Sunday. You can see Savannah's "Easter egg" on her forehead- she fell down 10 wooden stairs two days before Easter. Poor girl. We are now installing baby gates.
Maddie loves our neighbor's tree swing!
Jesse has installed our white storm door! He has become quite handy since we moved! I was able to get these pretty plants for our front porch this morning. I love getting dirty :)

Happy Easter!

I couldn't get the girls to look and smile at the same time before church this morning...ah well. We had a wonderful day celebrating Christ's power over death and victory over sin. What a blessed message this is to understand and live according to His great plan for our lives. True life is found only in Christ. We look forward to the day when we will be with Him in glory!
Yesterday the girls opened Easter baskets and were excited to find sunglasses!

Springtime!

Our yard is getting greener by the day!
It's so fun to watch each new flower and tree bloom. I keep getting surprised by what's popping up in our yard.
The girls received a package in the mail from Aunt Dottie today! They were tickled to open beautiful Easter dresses and cards!
Maddie asked to Skype with Aunt Dottie right after we opened the gifts. We're actually planning a trip to see her soon- so excited!
This kitty likes to hang out at our house. Both girls adore her!
Maddie has made a sweet friend, and Tessa happens to be our next door neighbor! We're so thankful for this family.
Girl time on Tessa's trampoline! Savannah didn't want to stop jumping for the photo :)
Savvy has been giving big wet open mouth kisses lately. She's such a sweetie!
Oh yeah, Daddy joined in the fun!
