I've Been Tagged!

-Tag 7 random people at the end of your post, and include links to their blogs.
-Let each person know they've been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

My dear friend Emily has tagged me! Here are my random facts:

1. When I was little, I liked to play outside and collect bugs. I even had a collection of "Ded Things" (dead things- I was only six or so and didn't know how to spell) on our front porch. My mom had to put up with a snail farm, as well. No dolls for me!

2. I've never broken a bone or had a filling.

3. Other countries I've traveled to are: South Africa, Holland, India, Singapore, Switzerland, France, Italy, Norway, Spain, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Mexico, and Canada. And I'm going to Israel in May!

4. I kissed Jesse for the first time on our wedding day in Grace Community Church. If you are wondering, I would totally do it again that way!

5. I am about to turn 30 on Wednesday (December 3). When I was 8 years old I thought that when I was old (ha ha) and 30 I would be a veterinarian living on a farm with horses and a white picket fence. In this wish, I would have no children and not be married, because that was just gross (love and boys). I have to say that I much prefer reality to an 8 year old dream! (Remember that one, Jan?)

6. I am currently reading Respectable Sins by Jerry Bridges, The Attributes of God by Arthur Pink, and doing a personal study through Philippians (with the study guide Unleashing God's Truth One Verse at a Time by MacArthur). My reading list that I have yet to get to is quite long- I just wish that I was a fast reader!

7. I love fishing! It was what my dad and I did for "dates" growing up. There are many sweet memories with my dad as we were holding our poles.

Melissa, Rachel, Kim, Sarah, Emily, Jennifer, and Amanda....you're it!

An Untraditional Thanksgiving

The day started out with a little Maddie photo shoot. This was her first time wearing jeans. What a big girl- we had to capture the moment! Jesse was taking pictures on his phone while I took these. We were a sight to see! You can tell she is our first child!

Then we went to Papa and Mimi's house for some tummy time.
And kisses.
A bit of basketball. The Hollbrooks, Verdugos, Wanetta, Josh, and Davis joined my parents and us to celebrate Thanksgiving together.
All the seminary guys had fun together.
And the ladies enjoyed cleaning up in the kitchen. The reason I call this a "nontraditional day" is because we had no turkey! We did a southern barbecue instead- it was delicious!
We took a walk to the park and through a football around.
Madison really enjoyed the fresh air!
What a beautiful day God created- we just loved the cool, brisk weather.
Then the games started. We played a fun name game and Apples to Apples.
The "kids" were mesmerized by Jackson's computer game! We had a memorable day- we thank the Lord for wonderful family and friends to spend it with.

Mom's Helper

Maddie had two loads of warm laundry piled on top of her- she couldn't even move! She loves watching me fold the clothes above her head. She thinks it's a game I'm playing.

Armenian Thanksgiving

We were invited to the Armenian Thanksgiving dinner (this is our second Thanksgiving dinner, and it's not even Thanksgiving yet)! Jesse reminded all of us to be thankful to God for all He has given us. We can only be truly thankful when we have Christ's forgiveness.
These girls were pretty cute leading the singing.
The veggie tray was a huge hit!
Aroxy is a natural with babies- she made Maddie smile so much.
Papa has the touch- he knows how to get her to sleep anywhere!

Splish Splash

This was Jesse's first time giving Madison a bath. They were pretty cute together.
Holding on for the wild ride!
Classic Maddie look.
She loves being wet.
Good job Dad!
What a cuddle bug!

Emma's Photography

Thank you, Emma! We had so much fun with you that day. These pictures are so precious. What a wonderful gift you have.

I miss these girls!

Aren't they adorable? We get to see them next at Christmas. I'm counting down the days!

Four Months

Today is November 16, 2008 and I'm four months old. I weigh 11 pounds and 13 ounces. I'm 24 1/8 inches long. Everyone says I'm petite and feminine. (I'm in the 10th-15th percentile.)
I love grabbing my toes! Now I blow bubbles and giggle. Looking in the mirror makes me laugh right from my tummy.
We've been working on tummy time- my head is getting stronger and stronger. Did I mention that I sleep around 10 hours a night (8:30pm- 7am). I had my first cold this month, but it was no big deal. I don't know if it has anything to do wit being put in the nursery this month for the first time as well :). Daddy doesn't think so!

Philipino Thanksgiving Dinner

Before.
After.
Yes, we had a roasted pig at the Philipino Thanksgiving dinner! It was a sight to see!
They had quite the potluck!
This little girl and Maddie became fast friends.

Soccer Night

Can you spot the cute guy center field with a red shirt? That's my dad! He was reffing Long Beach State and University of San Diego.
There he is!
This was my first soccer game- I had fun cheering on my dad.
I don't think Mimi watched the game, she just kept her eyes on me all night!

It was a pretty late night for me- we didn't get home until after midnight. Dad, Mom and Mimi decided to go out to Diddy Riese after the game. It was a pretty wild night for a four month old!
