We just got back from a week long trip to Cali. This certainly is the time of year to visit! It was in the 80's, the sun was shining and it was beautiful! We had many highlights on this trip with seeing family, friends, and going fun places. It was good to remember that all good gifts come down from our heavenly Father who loves to give His children good things. In the midst of enjoying these good things, we were also walking through the loss of our Aunt Dottie. She passed away at 103 years old day before we left. The Lord gives and takes away- blessed be the name of the Lord. We trust in His timing in taking Aunt Dottie and are thankful that she is no longer in pain here on earth. This was such good opportunity to remind ourselves and teach the kids that life is full of joys and sorrows, but our contentment must stay rooted in Him. We can feel sadness and joy, and in that we trust God's goodness, sovereignty, and love for us.
I'm thankful to be on this journey of learning knowing that my home is really in heaven.
These sweet friends were so excited to see each other!
Abby and Maddie have been dear friends since they were about 3 years old.
Hey- we have the same teeth missing!
Mimi and Savannah and Grace :)
These girls were so fun to take out to the American Girl Store for lunch!
Still silly (and poor Grace)!
Crystal is a dear friend- so like minded and encourages me in my thinking.
We had a fun girls date at the Grove.
And the little ones on the trolley.
Another day we went to Griffith Park to ride the horses. Geneva loves the "neighs".
All aboard- Mimi rode the train with us!
