Loads of Fun in Santa Barbara

We were able to steal away for four days this past week to Santa Barbara- it was delightful! This dog greeted us at the hotel- Maddie came back looking for him the next morning. She loves doggies! Jesse and I enjoyed all the time to talk, play with Maddie, relax, read, and go to all these fun places...
The place we stayed was wonderful- "The Upham".
Jesse reffed two soccer games while we were there. So, Maddie decided to get some of her own exercise.
There's Daddy on the field!
She loves the bridges.
Happy girl!

"Mmmmm"
The Santa Barbara Zoo was a highlight. It's so fun to see how she would react to each animal! We all loved watching the penguins get fed.
The goat thought we had food.
Look at the view the giraffe gets everyday of the beach!
Maddie hatched!
We also went on a beautiful hike- Daddy did all the work carrying Maddie.
My little hiker.
Here she is having her first Starbucks! Jesse ordered her a warm milk with a shot of vanilla! I laughed so hard!
She loved running free!
So dirty!
Jesse had to hold her because she wanted to get IN the lake with the ducks.
Daddy and his little girl.
Every time Jesse refs at UCSB we always come up to this bluff- such an amazing view!

The next morning we went to a Farmers Market where Maddie stopped to smell the flowers.
Later that day we stopped by the Lobster Fest. We didn't get lobster, but had some yummy crab and albacore.
This was a memorable time away- I'm so thankful for my little family!
